PhD Programme Co-Ordinator

About the role
We are looking for a PhD Programme Coordinator to join the School of Healthcare. Predominantly based, at the NIHR Leicester Biomedical Research Centre at Glenfield Hospital, your role will involve leading and managing the administrative processes and resources across all aspect of the Wellcome Trust Funded PhD Programme for Health Professions, 'Leicestershire Healthcare Inequalities Improvement' (LHIIP) Programme.
You will ensure effective, efficient and consistent support for students, supervisors and theme leads across cohort-building, taught and research components of the programme.
You will implement and coordinate training for the fellows around unique aspects of the programme, alongside the training offered by the post-doctoral college. You will coordinate the design and collection of student evaluation and feedback to evaluate this innovative programme and prepare reports to share best practice with the funder.
About you
To be successful in this role you will educated to degree level with previous work experience in a relevant role. You will have experience of project management and a familiarity with academic and financial regulations. You will also have experience of either student support, client wellbeing or of providing excellent customer service.
You will have strong leadership skills, including managing all aspects of delivering a major project through teamwork, including influencing and delegation. You will be highly organised with a proactive approach towards work, having the ability to milt-task and complete tasks accurately and with attention to detail, often under pressure. You will also be customer focused with an understanding of the importance of meeting customer needs and providing high quality service.
