Duties and Responsibilities
An opportunity to join the UCL Division of Biosciences Postgraduate team in supporting a significant and diverse research community is now available. The post offers an opportunity to contribute to the Divisions ambitions to grow our research population whilst deliver a great student experience to our existing students.
The successful appointee will work closely and effectively with Senior PhD Administrators and the Postgraduate Team Manager and will be responsible for key student lifecycle activities. The role involves the monitoring and management of student records, processes and milestones related to PGR study as well as ensuring compliance with our institutional Codes of Practice and Regulations and supporting UKRI-funded doctoral programmes admissions, teaching and rotations.
The role will involve liaising with postgraduate research (PGR) students, supervisors, and senior academic colleagues to ensure a positive student experience throughout the student journey. The post holder will need be adaptable, quick to assimilate information and have a keen eye for detail.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate will be educated to A level or equivalent standard and have administrative experience, ideally in a Higher Education or Research environment. A commitment to providing a responsive and helpful service and making best practice an absolute priority is essential. The post holder will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate ownership of a personal workload.
