We are looking to appoint a part time PhD Administrator Officer (Grade 3), to work in the School of Economics and Finance fixed term for 1 year. This post will be responsible for the administration of the MRes/PhD programme within the School.

The post-holder will administer all activities relating to the MRes/PhD programme within the School including induction, registration and assessment. They will act as a main point of contact for MRes and PhD students, providing advice and guidance as needed. They will work closely with the School’s Research manager to ensure the smooth running of these programmes, being a main point of contact for both internal and external staff regarding the School’s MRes/ PhD programme. They will also assist the School’s Research Manager in research related administration as needed.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with experience of working within a higher education setting. You will also have experience of dealing with PGR, PGT or UG administration, and of providing support and advice to students. You will have strong organisational skills with an ability to work unsupervised, prioritise a varied workload, met deadlines and cope well under pressure.

The post is part time (0.6 FTE) and fixed term for 1 year from August 2019. The successful candidate could work 3 days per week (7 hours per day), or could spread the hours across 4 or 5 days. The starting salary will be in the range of £27,251 - £33,615 per annum pro rata inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave (pro rata), pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
