About the Role
The academic appointed will contribute to the intellectual life of the School and wider institution and research field of particle physics as a member of the Particle Physics Research Centre (PPRC). They will contribute to student education and experience through curriculum development and the delivery of teaching activities in the subject area of Physics and Astronomy.
Positions are available across the academic levels: Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and Reader.
The successful candidates must have a PhD in Physics or equivalent discipline and/or relevant professional qualification and/or equivalent professional experience. They will have a track record of high-quality world-class research in experimental particle physics appropriate to the level of appointment, and clear and ambitious plans for future research. Candidates will also have the ability to, and appropriate experience of, delivering teaching and assessment.

The PPRC is establishing a new activity with a focus on hardware and software contributions to the DUNE experiment. The successful candidate will establish themselves with a leading role in this activity as appropriate to the level of appointment.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), permanent appointment with an expected start date of 1st June 2020. Salaries are competitive and not less than £42,433 per annum (Lecturer) or £55,840 per annum (Senior Lecturer / Reader) inclusive of London Allowance.
