We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Sports Science to contribute to the delivery of excellence in student experience by delivering, organising and reviewing teaching, assessment and administration processes associated with the Masters of Sport and Exercise Science and Medicine and to undertake scholarship to enhance learning and teaching in the School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Health. You will also supervise students at postgraduate level, contribute to curriculum development, and undertake appropriate administration as requested by the Director of School.

The School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Health is one of eight Schools within the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences at the University of Glasgow. The School is internationally leading in the areas of research, education (at undergraduate and postgraduate level) and has a wide ranging internationalisation, engagement and enterprise portfolio. Research in the School focusses on the areas of cardiac diseases (including but not limited to ischaemic heart disease, heart failure, arrhythmias and cardio-oncology), metabolic diseases (including but not limited to diabetes and obesity) and vascular diseases (including but not limited to hypertension, cerebrovascular disease and kidney disease), supported by a cross-cutting research theme in cardiovascular data science. The School is proud of its translational research strategy from fundamental and discovery science to experimental medicine, epidemiology, clinical trials and implementation research.

We welcome applications from candidates who hold Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 12 (PhD) or equivalent in related discipline with a growing reputation for scholarship within the subject area.
