The University of Manchester invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for a permanent, full-time Teaching and Scholarship (T&S) Lectureship in Arts and Cultural Management.

This is a key appointment in the teaching strategies of the Institute for Cultural Practices (ICP) and the Department of Art History and Cultural Practices (AHCP). The post will provide a significant contribution to the MA Arts Management, Policy and Practice, and its sister programmes, MA Art Gallery and Museum Studies and MA Heritage Studies, in the context of expanding teaching provision within the department. The person appointed will need to be highly motivated and to familiarise themselves with the teaching and administrative cultures of the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures. Working with the team of colleagues within AHCP, they will make a substantial contribution to teaching and dissertation supervision at MA and UG level, teach on the new and existing programmes, according to their area of expertise. They will also carry out administrative roles and contribute fully to the life of the subject area.

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons and all appointments will be made on merit. As we are committed to the principles of the Race Equality Charter Mark, we would particularly welcome applications from the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) community who are currently under-represented at this level.
