The Department of Psychology within the School of Psychology and Sport Science seeks to further develop its world-leading teaching and research profile by the appointment of an academic in psychology. We particularly encourage applications from candidates with a background and experience in Forensic Psychology. The post holder will have a profile commensurate with a lectureship position, including experience of teaching at a Higher Education Institution.

The appointed person will be expected to contribute to relevant undergraduate and postgraduate programme provision within the Department of Psychology and will deliver high-quality innovative teaching and supervision. The post holder will have a developing teaching and scholarship profile commensurate with a Grade 7 lecturer. The post holder should also possess a desire to develop student employability, applied competency and readiness for work. The appointed person will be expected to contribute to pastoral support, recruitment and retention activities, and the candidate should have a desire to promote the School through outreach and public engagement activity. Candidates should ideally possess relevant teaching qualifications or experience.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence in June / July 2024 (or as soon as possible thereafter)

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.

This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework , there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
