Happy Electron run multiple projects from their offices and laboratories in London, UK, San Francisco, USA, and St. Petersburg, Russia, and collaborate with leading academic experts in computational and experimental materials science worldwide.

About You

You will be a great communicator, hungry to take up the challenge and make a difference in the battery and EV sector. You will be able to work and plan novel research independently and collaborate efficiently within the team. With a broad knowledge of multi-scale modelling and electrochemistry as well as familiarity with experimental characterisation technics, you will also meet the registration requirements to study for a PhD at Imperial College London.  Please see the link below to check that you qualify.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a creative, adaptable and motivated PhD student, based at Imperial College London, to create multi-scale modelling of new generation electrochemical energy storage technologies developed by Happy Electron Ltd. At Imperial you will be working within a thriving and supportive community of researchers of the electrochemical, science and engineering group, you will be a valuable contributor helping us come up with innovative solutions to the challenges and exciting opportunities we face to improve and transform our societies and the world around us.

Working in collaboration with Happy Electron, you will also be part of a diverse and international team of scientists and researchers active in the field of new battery technologies and also gain exposure within a commercial working environment.
