EPSRC DTP Studentship - Data-driven and Learning Based Mechanics

The Engineering Department at the University of Cambridge invites applications for a fully-funded PhD position in deep learning / data-driven methods for multi-scale material systems, under the supervision of Dr. Burigede Liu. We are looking for highly motivated and talented candidates with a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Civil and Environmental Engineering, or related fields. A strong background in solid mechanics, applied mathematics/computer science would be preferred. 

Applicants should have (or expect to obtain by the start date) at least a good 2.1 bachelor's degree in  Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Computer Science. 

The EPSRC DTP studentships are fully-funded (fees and maintenance) for eligible UK students. EU and international students may also be considered for this award.
