About the Role

The Bursaries, Grants and Scholarships team sits within Academic Registry and its purpose is to provide a student focused service to allocate various financial awards on behalf of Queen Mary, academic departments and external organisations.

Registry Services wishes to recruit a Bursaries, Grants and Scholarships Assistant to provide administrative support for the team in administering the Queen Mary Bursary Scheme and all other aspects of financial assistance available to students.

 About You

The ideal candidate will have experience in higher education administration and an understanding of the general student financial support routes available to students in higher education

About the Department

The Academic Registry is responsible for the maintenance of a student’s personal and academic record from the point of enrolment through to award, for the organisation and delivery of invigilated examinations, the distribution of the Queen Mary bursary and other approved scholarships, ensuring compliance with immigration rules and dealing with academic and regulatory queries from both students and academic colleagues.

The post is based at Department W, Mile End Road in London. It is full time, with an expected start date of February / March  2023. The starting salary will be grade 3, in the range of £29,642 - £36,348 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Please note that we advertise our salaries on a range to indicate the trajectory of progression that can be made. Appointments are usually made at the start of the salary range.
