The starting salary will be from £36,382 up to £47,419 on Grade (F), depending on qualifications and experience. This role attracts a market supplement in line with Agenda for Change payscale on point 8a

The College wishes to recruit a part-time (0.4 fte) Academic Tutor based in the psychology department to support the Academic Director with the delivery of the DClinPsy programme. This post is available from October 2021 until the 31st of July 2023

About the role

The main role of the successful candidate will be to act as convenor for the adult, older adult and neuropsychology strands of the programme. You will have responsibility for ensuring the design, development and delivery of innovative teaching and learning material for these strands. You will work with the Academic Lead to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programmes in accord with the College’s education strategy and within the education objectives specific to the programme. You will also be involved in developing assignments, marking and providing feedback to trainees, and acting as Year 2 Cohort tutor.

About you

The successful applicant will possess a post graduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those who trained prior to 1996 or those in lateral transfer) as accredited by the BPS and giving eligibility for Chartered Clinical Psychology registration.  They will also be HCPC registered.

The applicant will also be able to demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development as recommended by the BPS. In addition the successful candidate will have experience of teaching in an HE environment.

The Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Programme is the founding programme within our suit of over 30 postgraduate clinical training programmes. Exeter has been training clinical psychologists for over 40 years, and the course has strong links with local NHS Trusts and third sector services.
