Aberdeen Endowments Trust is an educational trust that offers students studying at the University of Aberdeen a bursary to support their education.
Description
The Aberdeen Endowments Trust has been supporting people in Aberdeen to improve their lives through Education since 1909. The Trust provides bursaries to help individuals access educational opportunities which, due to their financial circumstances, would otherwise be unavailable to them.
The John Robb Bursary is currently worth £500 per year. Awards will be extended for each year of study, provided applicants demonstrate satisfactory academic progression on their programme.
Eligibility
(a) be born and brought up in the City of Aberdeen and still ordinarily resident there
(b) be born in the City of Aberdeen of parents who are still ordinarily resident there, although the person making the application may be resident elsewhere,
(c) be, in the opinion of the Trustees, ordinarily resident in the City. It should be noted that residence in the City wholly or mainly for the purpose of obtaining further Education, by a person normally resident elsewhere, does not qualify.

Please complete the application form and email it to: [email protected] or post it to Aberdeen Endowments Trust, 19 Albert Street, Aberdeen, AB25 1QF.
Applicants should complete the application as fully as possible. In particular, applicants should provide all the relevant information on residential history, programme details, previous education and their financial situation.
Additional supporting documents can be submitted along with the application. Where possible evidence of household income should be provided at the time of application. and could include, but not be limited to, P60s, benefits statements etc.
Applications should not be submitted until confirmation of a place at the University of Aberdeen has been obtained.
