We are looking for student assistants for an international online conference taking place between 13th and 17th September 2021. The USYS TdLab is organising the major international transdisciplinarity conference together with the td-net of the Swiss Academies .


Job description

For the preparation of the conference, we are looking for 1-2 student assistants (from now until the end of September, extension possible). The work is primarily administrative, e.g.

  • we are working with "ConfTool" in our preparation, but the conference itself will take place in "iStage" and data has to be synchronised (most of it is automatic, some things need copy-paste)
  • further preparation work in iStage (e.g. setting up poster booths)
  • Before the conference, many individual emails have to be sent out to all authors with details on how to proceed/login/zoom link etc.

Timeframe: From now until at least the end of September - extension possible, as we need to do some post-processing.

Effort: 100%  - can also be split between 2 people if they agree well/work well in a team

Requirements

  • Skilled in using online tools (nothing difficult, but you have to keep an overview)
  • Clean and efficient administrative work
  • (almost) everything in English

Your profile
  • efficient in administrative work
  • experiences with MS Word/Excel etc. (mail merge)
  • interested in communcating with participants at an international online conference
  • fluency in English

You should be students at ETH Zurich or any other university in Switzerland (preferably late Bachelor’s or early Master’s student).
