The Chair of Cognitive Science at ETH Zurich is looking for a student research assistant (10–30% / 4-12 hours per week flexible workload) with experience and interest in web application development and maintenance.


Job description

Do you have some knowledge and interest in web development and are looking for a flexible and interesting addition to your studies?

Your role is to support researchers at the Chair of Cognitive Science in programming tasks related to our experiments. Your primary tasks will consist of developing and maintaining web applications based on the oTree framework, for measuring decision making and investment behavior. You will also support the scientific team with creating, processing, and maintaining data bases containing human and behavioral data. Therefore, you will make an important contribution to the scientific output of the team.


Your profile
  • You need to be enrolled at ETH Zurich or the University of Zurich to be eligible for the position
  • An understanding and at least initial practical experience in one or more of the following tools/frameworks: Python, JavaScript, Django, Flask
  • Ideally you have some experience in web application development
  • Interested in research on Behavioral Finance and/or Cognitive Science (optionally)
