A postdoctoral position is opening in the Department of Chemistry within the Delley research group at the University of Basel (https://delley.chemie.unibas.ch/en/ ).


Your position
The position can start as soon as 1.3.2022 or upon agreement. The position is for one year and may be extended further. The focus of the research project are electric field effects on interfacial chemistry. The project is highly interdisciplinary and includes electrochemistry and in situ spectroscopy, in particular surface-enhanced infrared absorption spectro-electrochemistry, and the preparation and study of inorganic materials. We offer a stimulating and supportive environment.


Your profile
Candidates must be highly motivated, should have obtained both a PhD and a Master degree in electrochemistry, chemistry, or material science, and bring a solid chemical background. Experience in electrochemistry or electrocatalysis, or also in spectroscopy, or experimental inorganic chemistry are of advantage. Team spirit and perseverance are expected.
