We are searching for an outstanding candidate for a PhD student position in physical chemistry to work with the Ambizione group leader Dr. Bogdan Dereka in collaboration with the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Peter Hamm. We are establishing a new group and aiming to study the fundamental chemical phenomena and reactivity at buried and electrified interfaces that are of immense interest in many fields of basic and applied science and technology.
Your responsibilities
The project will deal with the advancement of surface-sensitive ultrafast spectroscopy and photochemistry techniques, surface preparation and characterization, investigation of ultrafast photoinduced phenomena with time-resolved IR and multidimensional sprectroscopy methods.
Your profile
The candidate must hold a Master's degree in Chemistry/Physics/interdisciplinary Natural Sciences or a closely related field. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, ambitious and creative, and should have strong independent learning skills. Expertise in spectroscopy/ surface science/ electrochemistry is welcome. Strong communication and writing skills in English are required.
