The Chemical Energy Carriers and Vehicles Systems Laboratory researches future energy and mobility concepts with reduced climate and environmental impact. We develop new technical solutions in close contact with science and industry.

To strengthen the activities in the research topic "Vehicle Systems" we are looking for a PhD student.


Your tasks
  • Development of a hybrid modelling approach combining sensors on the infrastructure and vehicles
  • Design and setup of dynamic objects for the AD test track
  • Validation of the sensor selection methodology through real-world scenario-based investigations
  • Publication of results in scientific journals and presentation at national/international conferences
  • Supervision of students

Your profile
  • University Master's degree in robotics, mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Good technical knowledge and high interest in scientific work in the areas indicated above, including vehicle and sensor systems
  • Interest in working in interdisciplinary teams
  • Good knowledge of the German and/or English language
