The Cartilage Engineering group (Prof. Andrea Barbero) at the Department of Biomedicine, University Hospital Basel is seeking a PhD candidate for a project focused on chondral and osteochondral defects regeneration. The position is fully funded by the SNF and will be performed in collaboration with the Biomedical Laser and Optics Laboratory (Prof. Ferda Canbaz) and the Bio-Inspired Robots for Medicine Laboratory (Prof. Georg Rauter) at the Vetsuisse Faculty (University of Zurich). Starting date is September 2024. The Cartilage Engineering group is an interdisciplinary team with expertise in the biological and engineering sciences, as well as clinical trials with cell-based treatments for musculoskeletal tissue regeneration.
