Updated: over 2 years ago
Job Type: FullTime
Deadline: 31 Dec 2021

This position is a collaboration with the research group of Dr. Anne Bonnin at the Paul Scherrer Institute.

The PhD project aims to tackle cardiovascular disease, specifically in the area of heart transplants. You will develop a nanocrystal-based contrast agent that will allow a more reliable determination of transplant rejection, leading to more personalized treatment for the patient. The project involves nanocrystal synthesis, characterization, surface functionalization with target molecules, staining of biological tissue, and acquisition of x-ray computed tomography data at the synchrotron.

Please apply by email, with a cover letter and CV, and provide three references.
