The International Political Economy and Environmental Politics group led by Professor Thomas Bernauer is offering a fully funded position for a Doctoral Student inEnvironmental Politics.


Job description

The International Political Economy and Environmental Politics group is based both at the Center for Comparative and International Studies (CIS) and the Institute of Science, Technology and Policy (ISTP). Its research and teaching focuses on examining the role of citizens and consumers as well as national socio-economic and political conditions in providing solutions to trans-national environmental and economic problems. This new doctoral position will contribute to an ISTP project on increasing sustainability in global supply chains, and to research associated with the Swiss Environmental Panel .


Your profile

The successful candidateshould hold a Master degree in Political Science, Political Economy, Economics, or Sociology, and be very familiar with Political Science/ Political Economy theories, quantitative empirical methods, and preferably also survey and experimental methodologies. An excellent command both of English and German is essential. The preferred starting date is January 2022. The funding is for up to four years.
