The research Group of Reproductive Biology at the Institute of Veterinary Anatomy and the Clinic of Reproductive Medicine is looking for a Doctoral student (1 year, with possibility of extension).
The Doctoral position will be financed from the Forschungskredit of the University of Zurich - granted research project entitled:
Steroidogenic capacity and functional adaptation of equine granulosa cells during acquisition of oocyte developmental competence in the horse.
Your responsibilities
  • Active basic science research in the field of reproductive biology
  • Teaching practical courses to bachelor students
  • Possibility for Dissertation (Dr. med. vet.)

Your profile
  • Degree in veterinary medicine
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic person
  • Interest in reproductive endocrinology and physiology of the horse
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Curiosity-driven attitude
  • Flexibility
  • Previous experience in molecular and/or cell biology methods, as well as with horse reproduction and Ovum Pick-Up is welcomed but not mandatory
