PhD student in biomechanical orthopedicsis

The main objective of the project is to evaluate the failure risks of total shoulder arthroplasty by using machine leaning methods to link clinical data, imaging technics, and biomechanics, within a cohort of patients. Methods will be developed to automatically build patient-specific computer models of shoulder arthroplasty from clinical data, and to assess statistical associations between numerical results and clinical preoperative and postoperative data. 

This project is a translational research between the Laboratory of Biomechanical Orthopedics (LBO) of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), the ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research of the University of Bern, and the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV). This project is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF-Sinergia).
