The department of Computer Science and Engineering is a fully integrated department with the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology as principals. The department offer courses in a broad range of subjects.

The department is now looking for student assistants to work within the field of Computing Science.


Job assignments

As a student assistant, you will work with helping and supporting teachers with practical elements in the different courses. This could for example be lab and exercise tutoring and help with lab and exam grading.

The specific courses where we need help from student assistants during our re-exam periods are listed below.


Re-exam period June:
  • DAT044 Introduktion till objektorienterad programmering, course language Swedish

Re-exam period August:
  • DAT044 Introduktion till objektorienterad programmering, course language Swedish
  • DIT012 Imperativ programmering med grundläggande objektorientering, course language Swedish
  • LEU481 Programutveckling, course language Swedish
  • TDA357/DIT621 Databases

Qualifications

To be qualified for the position you are an active student studying in one of the institution’s BSc or MSc level programmes at the University of Gothenburg or Chalmers University of Technology. To be qualified for the position you should have good knowledge in the language used in the courses you apply for, that is, English and/or Swedish, both spoken and written. To be qualified as student assistant for a course you should have passed either the same or a similar course.

Type of employment: Fixed-term employment, June 2022 or August 2022

Location: Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Gothenburg
First day of employment: 2022-06-04 or 2022-08-01 depending on work period


Additional information

This is an intermittent employment where you as student assistant are paid for the hours you work. The remuneration level is according to our regulations and will be paid per hour in arrears. The number of working hours is individually set in a dialogue with the responsible teacher and director of studies. Since the Department of Computer Science and Engineering is a joint department the employment can be placed at the University of Gothenburg or the Chalmers University of Technology. To be able to qualify as student assistant you need to be in Gothenburg, Sweden and can perform your work tasks at campus Johanneberg or campus Lindholmen.
