Project description and tasks

Most cases of brain tumors are sporadic, but studies have shown that genetic factors can increase a persons risk of developing a brain tumor. The aim of the present project is to investigate inherited genetic factors and how they relate to genetic, epigenetic, translational, transcriptional, and metabolic factors in the tumor. We are looking for a student that will handle and integrate large amounts of biological data, including data from whole genome sequencing and other omics-technologies, for the purpose of statistical analyses. The main goal of the research is to gain understanding of why a brain tumors develops.
