The doctoral student project

The overall aim of the project is to gain an in depth understanding of the mechanisms of virus infection in mosquitoes. Co-infection in the mosquito with other microorganisms will also be studied. The study will employ advanced, virological and molecular techniques, e.g. single cell sequencing. Results from this study can be applicable in prevention and control strategies for vector-borne diseases.

You who are admitted to doctoral studies at the Faculty of Medicine will be enrolled in the faculty-wide doctoral education program. The program comprises 25 credits and is offered in two study variants: 25 credits spread over 8 terms (a total of 4 years) or over 12 terms (a total of 6 years), starting each autumn and spring semester.
