To expand the research team of Prof. Gregor Hasler at the Section of Medicine of the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), we offer a:

35% position for Senior scientist at the Master of Medicine, Medicine section, Dept. MPH, University of Fribourg, Chair of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy

As senior scientist at Fribourg University, you will be joining a team of scientists and clinicians of the Psychiatry Research department, which is associated with the Psychiatry Hospital of the Canton of Fribourg in Villars-sur-Glâne (neighborhood of the city of Fribourg).

The Chair of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy is building and expanding a multidisciplinary research program focusing on pharmacological, genetic/epigenetic and eHealth studies. The team has important collaborations with ETH Zurich und University Hospital Zurich in the field of molecular imaging.

The successful applicant will have numerous opportunities to grow and expand his/her clinical, conceptual and methodological horizons. She/he will have access to imaging-epidemiological data, epigenetic and eHealth data.

Responsibilities:

• Methodological support for the research team
• Coordination of an eHealth study
• Critically analyze and evaluate data
• Perform administrative tasks as assigned
• Participate in student training
• Writing of reports, papers and grant applications

Qualification:

• PhD or MD degree
• Publication record in areas related to the responsibilities
• Expertise in genetics and epigenetics would be a plus
• Expertise in advanced imaging data analyses (e.g. connectivity analyses) would be a plus
• Experience in analyzing eHealth data would be a plus
• Strong English language skills are mandatory, German and French is a plus
• Candidate must be able to work independently and, in a team, setting as well.
