Pre-doctoral Student candidates with the possibility to be granted in the future by the Spanish Research Agency under the FPI Program, to join the Retrovirology and Clinical Studies Lab at IrsiCaixa

IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute located in Hospital Germans Trias i Pujol in Badalona (Barcelona) has an opening in the Retrovirology and Clinical Studies Lab. This position requires a degree in Life Sciences. Full time dedication during the project will be required. Candidates with academic files containing marks greater than 2 are encouraged.

The selected candidate will work in the context of the project “Elimination of the HIV latent reservoir by using novel anti-CD4 chimeric antigen receptor T cells (antiCD4-CAR)” funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.

The applicant will carry out daily activities such as:

• Design, development and analyses of experimental procedures in immunovirology, such us cell culture, flow cytometry, molecular biology, and biochemistry
• Work in Biosafety Level 3 facilities
• Active update on scientific literature related to the research topic
• Writing scientific reports and articles
• Contributing to writing funding proposals
• Presenting progress work in both internal and external meetings, including national and international conferences.
• Science dissemination activities
• Bioinformatics complementary training will be valued
• Participate in regular maintenance of laboratory activities
• Travel availability, including potential short-term visits to other laboratories
