The Institute of Cosmos Sciences (ICC) at the University of Barcelona invites applications for three-year postdoctoral positions in the field of Applied Holography, very broadly defined.

The positions are awarded by the Catalan government (Beatriu de Pinós Programme) but they require the support of an ICC faculty member. Eligible candidates must have obtained their doctoral degree between Jan 1st 2014 and Dec 31st 2019. Appointments will begin no later than April 1st 2023, preferably in the Fall of 2022. 


Information about the Beatiu de Pinós Programme

The Beatriu de Pinós Programme (BP2020) aims for the incorporation of postdoctoral researchers to the Catalan system of Science and Technology.

The contract is for 3 years, the gross salary compensation will be €33.258 per month (approximately), as well as €12.000 as complementary allowance for research and training activities.

The Beatriu de Pinós Programme endorses the EU recommendations and good practices towards researchers’ professional development and provides training in transversal skills to improve fellows’ career perspectives. In addition, it boosts open science and outreach activities to communicate research results to society and promote the interest in research.


Requirements

1.Have obtained a doctoral qualification between 1st January 2014 and 31st December 2019. In specific situations such as maternity/paternity leave, sick leave that lasts for more than 6 months, caring for persons in a situation of dependency, or being recognized as having refugee status under the 1951 Refugee Convention a PhD obtained between 1st January 2012 and 31st December 2019;

2. Have, at the time of joining the receiving institution, a minimum of two (2) years of post-doctoral experience outside Spain. This post-doctoral experience, regardless of the type of affiliation, may have been carried out in different institutions, provided that the total period of post-doctoral stay is at least two (2) years.

3. Not to have resided or worked in Spain for more than 12 months in the last three (3) years prior to the end date of the deadline for submitting applications. In the case of refugee research staff, the mobility rule applies from the date of obtaining official recognition of a refugee in accordance with the 1951 Geneva Convention.
