The Star-Formation group at the Institute of Cosmos Sciences, University of Barcelona, offer a postdoctoral position of one year in theoretical star formation, with the possibility of extension to one additional year. The successful applicant will work under the supervision of Prof. Paolo Padoan, and is expected to carry out tasks under Padoan’s current grant from the Spanish Ministry of Research and Innovation. Such tasks include the development, analysis and interpretation of numerical simulations of the interstellar medium, the comparison of numerical simulations with observational data, the preparation of supercomputing proposals, the preparation of ALMA proposals, and the development of physics modules for an astrophysics code.
