Offer Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic PhD student (European Nationals or with residency) to join our research group at the University of Cádiz in Spain. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and electrocatalysis research for a period of four years. The project will involve the synthesis, characterization, and application of advanced nanomaterials for electrocatalytic processes, with a focus on energy conversion and storage applications.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in the fields of TEM and electrocatalysis under the guidance of experienced faculty members.
- Synthesize and characterize nanomaterials using state-of-the-art techniques, including TEM, X-ray diffraction, and spectroscopic methods.
- Design and perform electrochemical experiments to evaluate the performance of electrocatalysts for energy-related applications.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, and contribute to the dissemination of research findings through publications and presentations at conferences.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in chemistry, materials science, nanotechnology, or a related field.
- Strong background in TEM, electrochemistry, or catalysis is highly desirable.
- Excellent experimental skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
