Gross salary: €22,192.80 for the first three years and €27,300.00 for the fourth year

Research project

The candidate will work on the development of molecular cages for the encapsulation and controlled release of drugs for applications in the field of biomedicine, with special interest in cancer. The multidisciplinary project will integrate advanced knowledge of supramolecular chemistry in medicine, specifically molecular cages in cancer therapy. PI of the project: Dr. Vicente Martí Centelles (www.vmarti.es )

The PhD researcher will develop the synthetic and experimental tasks of the project as part of his PhD thesis project:

  • Organic synthesis of the molecular cages building blocks
  • Assembly of molecular cages and their characterization
  • Host – guest drug encapsulation and release experiments
  • Biological Drug delivery

The tasks that the PhD will perform offer:

  • Training in supramolecular chemistry and molecular design
  • Work on interdisciplinary research on the frontier of chemistry and biology
  • Development of organizational skills, writing of scientific publications, and communication of project results at conferences.

Requirements

Uuniversity bachelor's degree in chemistry and master's degree (or the equivalent number of credits) in chemistry or related area.

To have obtained the university bachelor's degree issued by a University or institution NOT belonging to the European Union.
