PhD Position available in a project on Biomaterials

Applications are invited for a PhD studentship to work on a project at CIC biomaGUNE. The main objective of the proposed research is to design and develop nanomaterials conjugated to aptamers with therapeutic and sensing properties. Applications are invited to work at the Bionanoplasmonics Laboratory of CIC biomaGUNE, under the supervision of Dr. Isabel García and Prof. Luis Liz-Marzán. Specific objectives of this work are:

(i) Development and physicochemical characterization of Aptamer-Nanoparticle conjugates.
(ii) Evaluation of biorecognition performance.
(iii) Study of interactions at cellular (in vitro) levels.

Required Education Level: Master s degree in a relevant area of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomaterials Science or related areas is required and
Skills/Qualifications: Experience in the fields of colloidal synthesis, cell culture and analytical chatacterization is highly desirable.
