A PhD Fellowship in Chemistry is available in the Innovative Polymers Group (http://www.polymat.eu/en/groups/innovative-polymers-group ) at the Basque Center for Macromolecular Design and Engineering, POLYMAT Fundazioa. The aim of this position is to advance into the exploitation of a new material obtained from chemical recycling of PET plastic waste as high performance anode for lithium ion batteries.

Applicants must must have a BSc / MSc in Chemistry or similar with a strong background in Polymer Science, Materials Science and Electrochemistry. Those with experimental and communications skills, and enthusiasm for research and innovation are encouraged to apply. Good command of written and spoken English is a must. The selected candidate is expected to conduct research, write papers, and deliver a PhD thesis.
