Part-time, 6-month position for implementing numerical simulations of neuronal circuits

Description of tasks: Implementation of numerical simulations on neuronal networks, using the Izhikevich model, to provide a theoretic-numerical framework to understand experimental results in neuronal cultures affected by taupathologies. The simulations require the design of a neuronal network that resembles the experimental one, the implementation of dynamics, the computation of functional connectivity, and the comparison of the observed collective behavior with experimental data.

Requirements: Master’s degree in biophysical computational modelling, computational neuroscience, or complex systems; master thesis on numerical simulations in neuronal circuits.

General competences and abilities: teamwork, communication skills, ability to work independently, excellent English level.
