The objective of WARIFA project (“Watching the risk factors: Artificial intelligence and the prevention of chronic conditions”), funded by H2020, is the early and personalized prediction of health risks using artificial intelligence in order to offer citizens and patients a new digital tool that allows them to change their behaviour and adopt healthier habits and a better lifestyle. In addition, the impact of this tool on health and care pathways will be investigated. The project will have 3 scenarios as use cases: 1) Chronic sun damage and skin cancer; 2) Chronic complications of diabetes mellitus; 3) Risk factors in the lifestyle of patients with the four main non-communicable diseases.

This temporary contract is related to specific work and services to be developed by the ULPGC in the context of WARIFA project.

The work and responsibilities of the researcher will include the following topics:

  • Co-creation and validation of an app to promote healthy lifestyle habits.
  • Attending meetings with potential users of mobile health applications.
  • Qualitative research: identification of facilitators and barriers to use of health apps.
  • Identification of barriers and facilitators and promotion of healthy habits.
  • Coordination of working groups.
  • Communication with members of the ULPGC team and other WARIFA partners.
