The candidate will be involved in ERC StG project. In this project, microfluidic technologies are being used for the advanced synthesis and assembly of functional materials. The candidate will develop microfluidic devices and/or 3D printed microreactors to control the generation and printing of functional matter.

Your tasks

  • Design and fabrication of microfluidic devices and/or microreactors
  • Materials processing in microfluidic environments
  • The candidate will have to travel to the laboratory of our collaborator at ETH Zurich, Prof. S. Pané i Vidal.
  • Characterization of the materials generated with a wide range of spectroscopy and microscopy techniques, and other physicochemical tools.
  • Publication of results in scientific journals and presentation of results at international conferences

Your profile

  • Master in engineering and/or microfluidic related area
  • Skills and expertise in microfabrication, 3D CAD drawing, and assembly of devices
  • Knowledge in microfluidic technologies and/or printing systems
  • Experience with programming (e.g. Matlab, Python).
  • Good knowledge of English
