HRS2022/005 Contrato Predoctoral / Ph.D. Position

En el Centro de Electrónica Industrial (CEI) y el Centro de Investigación en Tecnologías del Software y Sistemas Multimedia para la Sostenibilidad (CITSEM) de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), estamos buscando un estudiante de doctorado altamente motivado y con talento en el campo de la Computación Afectiva. El proyecto de investigación propuesto se centra en los siguientes temas:

- Procesamiento de imágenes hiperespectrales.

- Análisis de señales fisiológicas con dispositivos wearables.

- Computación Afectiva.

- Deep-learning y Machine Learning para fusión de datos.

- Aceleración basada en FPGA de algoritmos de IA/ML.

El candidato al doctorado formará parte de un equipo internacional y entusiasta. Esta posición de 3 años será financiada dentro del proyecto TALENT-HIPSTER (Sistemas y Tecnologías de Alto Rendimiento para la E-Salud y la Piscicultura) financiado por el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación de España.

In the Centre of Industrial Electronics (CEI) and the Research Center on Software Technologies and Multimedia Systems for Sustainability (CITSEM) at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), we are looking for a highly motivated and talented PhD student in the field of Affective Computing. The proposed PhD research project is focused on the following topics:

- Hyperspectral Image Processing.

- Physiological Signal Analysis with wearable devices.

- Affective Computing.

- Deep-learning and Machine Learning for data fusion.

- FPGA-based acceleration of AI/ML algorithms.

The PhD candidate will be part of a highly international and enthusiastic team. This 3-year position will be funded within the TALENT-HIPSTER (High Performance Systems and Technologies for E-Health and Fish Farming) project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
