Skills/ Qualifications:

• An MSc degree in molecular life sciences, biology, entomology, virology or a related field

• Experience in molecular biological techniques, a proven ability to organize laboratory experiments and an affinity to work with insects

• Ability to work in an international research team in a collaborative spirit

Duties:

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic early stage researcher with a strong interest in Insect Pathology with emphasis on plant-insect interaction. The successful applicant will:

- Study molecular processes that regulate plant response to herbivory

- Study the plant components that can regulate the herbivore interactions with natural enemies, including entomopathogenic viruses and bacteria.

- Develop methodologies for the improving of crop protection
