Selection process

Selection form
Admission to doctoral studies takes place in the form of an admission procedure. It also includes
the entrance exam, which the applicant is obliged to take on the day of the admission procedure. The exam has two parts, linguistic and professional. Based on their results, the admissions committee in the given study program decides whether or not to recommend accepting the applicant. Final decision admission or non-admission to study is the responsibility of the dean of the faculty.
Conditions and course of the admission procedure
The basic condition for admission to doctoral studies is completion of study program II.
degree or study program according to § 53 par. 3 of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. about universities
and on amendments to certain laws as amended. Another condition is adequate knowledge of one world language (according to the applicant's choice) and successful graduation admission procedure. For graduates of other fields, the structure of the graduates is assessed subjects in the completed study program and their professional and research activities that they guarantee eligibility to continue doctoral studies.

Entry exam
The entrance exam consists of a language part and a professional part.
The language part of the exam is conducted in the form of a test. Its purpose is to verify knowledge of a foreign language.
The professional part of the exam takes place in the form of a professional presentation (10-12 slides) dedicated to the topic dissertation for which the applicant applies. The applicant can consult the content of the presentation with subject trainer. The professional level of the presentation is evaluated by the committee for the admission procedure in the given study program.

Application to a doctoral study at the Faculty of Civil Engineering TUKE should be submitted ONLY in electronic form using the following application form: MAIS - Electronic application - (tuke.sk) and should contain all requested information and attachments (documents).

Submission of applications
It is possible to indicate only one topic of the dissertation from the relevant study fee per application
program. The following must be stated in the application:
 name of the study program,
 trainer's name,
 title of the dissertation topic,
 at least one world foreign language that the applicant knows.

To apply for doctoral studies, you must upload:
 a certified copy of the certificate of completion of the 2nd stage of higher education, state examination certificate,
 transcript of completed exams from the 2nd level of study,
 curriculum vitae,
 list of published professional and scientific works (if the applicant has published),
 proof of payment of the fee for the admission procedure,
