Consumer Food Choices Among Generation Y and Z in the Context of Sustainable and Healthy Food Systems

The aim of this dissertation is to examine the consumer behaviour of Generation Y and Z in the area of food choice and to identify key elements related to a healthy and sustainable food system and the most effective forms of marketing communication. The thesis will conclude with a comparison of the consumption patterns of the two generations with practical implications for the direction of development in production, marketing and communication. The solution will draw on previous research on consumer behaviour, generational differences and perceptions of media coverage of key topics related to sustainability and health, promotion of local products and deglobalisation trends. A questionnaire and panel discussions will be used to collect primary data. Selected mathematical and statistical methods will be used to address the research, and text mining and biometric methods will be used to investigate consumer reactions for specific problem areas. Topic for applicants for full time and part time study. Dissertation will be processed in Slovak language or in English language.
Spotrebiteľské rozhodnutia generácie Y a Z v kontexte udržateľných a zdravých potravinových systémov

Cieľom dizertačnej práce je skúmať spotrebiteľské správanie generácie Y a Z v oblasti výberu potravín a identifikovať kľúčové prvky, súvisiace so zdravým a udržateľným potravinovým systémom a najúčinnejšími formami marketingovej komunikácie. Záver práce bude venovaný komparácii spotrebiteľských modelov oboch generácii s praktickou aplikáciou na smerovanie vývoja vo výrobe, obchode a komunikácii. Pri riešení budú využité doterajšie výskumy v oblasti spotrebiteľského správania, generačných rozdielov a vnímania medializácie kľúčových tém súvisiacich s udržateľnosťou a zdravím, podporou lokálnych produktov a trendov deglobalizácie. Pre zber primárnych údajov bude použitý dotazník a panelové diskusie. Pri riešení výskumu budú využité vybrané matematicko-štatistické metódy a pre špecifické problémové okruhy bude využitý text mining a biometrické metódy skúmania spotrebiteľských reakcií. Téma pre uchádzačov o dennú a externú formu štúdia. Dizertačná práca sa bude spracovávať v slovenskom jazyku alebo v anglickom jazyku.
