The candidate is a doctor of sciences, having the title of doctor obtained at most 5 years ago from the moment of submitting the application. For candidates who have obtained the degree in Romanian universities, the data mentioned in the Order of the Minister of Education, which appeared in the Order of the Minister of National Education and Research, confirming the doctoral degree and stipulating the candidate's name, are taken into account. 

As an exception, candidates who have publicly defended their doctoral thesis at the time of application, provided that the doctoral internship has been officially confirmed, or candidates who have obtained certificates of excellence at the "Marie Sklodowska Curie" competitions organized are also eligible. by the European Commission, regardless of when they obtained their doctorate.

Romanian citizens or foreign nationals may be enrolled in the postdoctoral programs, as follows: Romanian ethnics from EU and non-EU states, citizens of EU Member States and the European Economic Area as well as of the Swiss Confederation, citizens outside these spaces, under conditions specific to each category, according to the law.

The recognition of the documents of the foreign citizens is made according to the methodologies in force at the moment of registration.

Foreign candidates who choose to study Romanian or Romanian language subjects may present a certificate of linguistic competence (minimum B2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) or may follow the intensive Romanian language learning courses that take place in within the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology.

Candidates (Romanian citizens and EU citizens) who have completed doctoral studies abroad will present a certificate of their equivalence, issued by the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED) within the MEN or will apply for recognition in the UVT* framework of the diploma according to the Methodology regarding the recognition by UVT of the doctoral diploma and of the doctoral degree in sciences or in a professional field obtained in accredited university education institutions from abroad.

The admission files for international candidates from non-EU countries, respectively Romanian candidates everywhere are similar with two Romanian candidates and the EU. They additionally include certified translations / translations (as appropriate) of personal documents and study documents, respectively a copy of the passport (valid for at least six months from the date of registration).

For admission in to a postdoctoral grant, it is required: 1. a portfolio of publications from the doctoral period or after obtaining the doctoral degree, as the case may be: a. An article of Web of Science publication in a Red Zone journal or at least two Web of Science publications of an article, in journals with an impact factor (SCIE or SSCI) for fields of science assigned to the exact or natural sciences ; b. a Web of Science publication of type article in journals with impact factor (SSCI or SCIE) for the area of ​​social sciences; c. an article of Web of Science type of article indexed SSCI, SCIE, AHCI or ESCI or indexed Scopus for the area of ​​humanities, vocational fields or the field of law. d. a participation in a large annual / biennial / triennial international exhibition, documented by the publication (Visual Arts field). e. a participation with a concert in a large international festival1 (Music field) f. a participation with a show at a large international festival2 (Theater and Performing Arts domain) 2. did not have, on the date of submission of the application or at least six months before, a full-time or part-time employment contract concluded with UVT.
