The Institute of Speleology ”Emil Racovita”, Romanian Academy, announces the availability of PhD student and MSc student candidate positions within the project PN-III-P1-1.1-TE-2021-1047 (Patterns of subterranean biodiversity in natural and artificial habitats).

PhD student

Eligibility requirements

- Bachelor of Science in Biology

- Currently, a PhD student (preferably in the first or second year) and the PhD research project focused on ecology of invertebrate communities from surface and/or underground habitats

- Field and lab work experience, i.e., collection of epigeous invertebrates and sorting them on taxonomic groups

- Prior experience in the scientific research, proved by his/her publication record and/or work in/or coordination of previous research grants.

- Adaptability to work in subterranean environment

Task to be performed

Take part to:

- research activities (field and laboratory) in order to accomplish the project objectives

- data management and analysis

- manuscript and report writing

MSc Student

Eligibility requirements

- Bachelor of Science in Biology

- Currently a Master student

- Prior field work experience, i.e., collecting epigeous invertebrates

- Adaptability to work in subterranean environment

Task to be performed

Take part to:

- research activities (field and laboratory) in order to accomplish the project objectives

- sorting invertebrate samples in laboratory

- data management and analysis
