One PhD position (part-time) in nanomaterials with applications in wastewater depollution

A Ph.D. position part-time/ scientific research assistant is available in a team of a UEFISCDI-funded project and will work in collaboration with a team of young scientists that carries out research on minerals nanoparticles, synthesis characterization, and their application in environmental wastewater depollution. She/He will have the opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary team where will be trained and supported on research duties related to the project. The position is part-time (equivalent to up to 4 hours /day for up to 16 months) with and he/she will be expended to have some knowledge of inorganic, /organic chemistry, /geochemistry, /nanomaterials, and or chemical engineering or related fields that will help understand the process of mineral nanomaterials synthesis, and their application to pollutants removal from wastewater. Some knowledge of materials characterization would be useful. Additionally, knowledge of the kinetics and thermodynamics of particles/minerals formation and transformation and /or processes occurring at the solid-liquid interface will be an advantage.

Position available within the research project entitled: “Environmental applications of amorphous minerals precursors for water depollution ”, project number PN-III-P1-1.1-TE-2021-0207.
