Opening Position at the Department of Comparative Literature, Faculty of Letters, Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca (Lector)

Scientific field: Philology

The successful candidate should be able to teach LLY3011 Comparative literature course: Poetics of the Body, LLY3012 Comparative literature course: Baroque and its Recurrences in the 20th Century, LLY4015 Comparative Literature Course: Modern Poetry From Baudelaire to Ginsberg, LLK6117, LLK6217 Digital Culture, Posthumanism, Postmodernism.

Description:

The competition disciplines in the post load involve complex approaches that touch on multiple theories, related to literary and digital cultures, fiction, poetry, posthumanism, and theories of the imaginary. This interdisciplinary approach presupposes an important capacity for synthesis and speculation, as well as a multudisciplinary discourse of the candidate.

In relation to the requirements of the post, the conditions that candidates must meet are the following:

1. PhD in philology.

2. Teaching experience in the field of philology, in comparative literature and in the disciplines assumed by the position load.

3. Research experience in the field of philology, literature specialization, proven by publications and grants.

4. Candidates must also have a scientific record in accordance with the field of philology or research specialization set out in the competition notice:

Specifically, the minimum standards for the position of lecturer presuppose either the authorship of at least 8 scientific papers (articles / chapters in books / books), indexed in recognized international databases (for articles) or published by prestigious publishing houses in the country or abroad (for chapters / books) orbeing the author / co-author of 10 scientific papers (articles / chapters in books / books) indexed in recognized international databases (for articles) or published in prestigious publishing houses in the country or abroad (for chapters / books) (of which for at least 4 papers, the candidate must be the sole author).

Atributions:

1. Giving classes and seminars from the position load.

2. Academic consultations and tutoring.

3. Evaluation and verification activities along the semester.

4. Academic guidance for the elaboration of scientific papers.

5. Organizing scientific events within the Department of Comparative Literature.

6. Scientific research in accordance with the standards of excellence of the faculty.
