The University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Craiova is excited to announce a selection competition aimed at hiring one expert for a specific time period to contribute to the implementation of the project entitled "„Targeting macrophages/ monocytes in the aged ischemic brain by pharmacological, genetic and cell-based tools”  (contract no. 760058/23.05.2023). We are currently seeking for two highly qualified and motivated individuals to fill two PhD research assistant fellow position. The employment contract will span an exciting duration of 28 months, allowing candidates to make substantial contributions and achieve significant outcomes within the project. Candidates are kindly requested to submit their CVs to the Project Management Department at UMF Craiova, located at 66 1 Mai Street, by the deadline of February 12, 2024.

Research Experience:

• Proven research experience in the field of immunology or aging, as evidenced by publications in reputable scientific journals.
• Experience in designing and conducting experiments related to dietary control and its impact on the immune system.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in laboratory techniques related to immunology and molecular biology.
• Familiarity with techniques for studying aging processes and dietary interventions.
• Experience in data analysis and interpretation.

Project Management:

• Ability to contribute effectively to the implementation of the "ImmunAgeD" project.
• Strong organizational and project management skills to meet deadlines and milestones.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate research findings effectively.

Innovative Thinking:

• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to contribute new ideas and perspectives to the research project.
• Ability to adapt to new methodologies and technologies.

Publication Record:

• A track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals related to immunology, aging, or dietary interventions.
