Work plan: The project aims to implement a Cloud Based system for processing, monitoring, alerting, and prediction of forest fire risk indicators, using sensors built within the project scope. It involves a system that should collect data from various sensors providing different types of data related to forest fire risk, process and store sensor data, predict fire risk indicators using Machine Learning, and provide mechanisms to visualize and explore both the collected data and fire risk indicators through web and mobile applications. The following tasks are planned:

  • Survey of the state of the art on solutions for storing data from sensors and solutions for implementing web services and mobile applications;
  • Survey of the state of the art on Machine Learning solutions that enable the prediction of indicators associated with fire risk;
  • Installation and configuration of development and production environments for the Cloud Based system, including all necessary dependencies for its proper operation;
  • Specification of the Cloud Based monitoring system, including specification of web services and client applications for uploading, visualizing, and exploring the data;
  • Implementation and testing of Cloud Based monitoring, including web services, mobile application, and client applications;
  • Implementation and testing of a Machine Learning model to enable the prediction of indicators associated with fire risk;
  • Integration of the Cloud Based system with the sensors developed within the project scope;
