Applications are open for 1 PHD Research Studentship(s), within the framework of within the eGamesLab/IST-ID n26 project financed by the PRR. financed by national funds through PRR (Plano de Recuperação e Resiliência, through IAPMEI – Agência para a Competitividade e Inovação

Workplan:
(1) initial research on the current state of the art of AI storytelling for interactive narrative and games related to nature as culture and sustainability,  
(2) literature review publication, support in the design and development of AI narratives and games advancing the state of the art and writing of articles and 
(3)  journal papers for A conference and Q1 journals.

Duration: The research fellowship(s) will have the duration of 12 months, renewable. It’s expected to begin in March 2024, and may be eventually renewed up to the maximum of 12 months.

Benefits

Monthly maintenance allowance: According to the values for Research Fellowships awarded by FCT in Portugal (https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM_2023.pdf ), the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is € €1199.64, being the payment method an option of the Fellow by Wire Transfer/Check.

Selection process

Selection methods: Curricular Evaluation 60%, Interview 30% & Motivation Letter 10%.

Composition of the selection Jury: Prof. Duarte Nuno Jardim Nunes, Prof. Valentina Nisi e Prof. Hugo Nicolau.

Announcement/ notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.

Deadlines and procedures of complaint and appeal . A complaint may be lodged from the final decision within 15 working days, or an appeal to the Executive Board of IST-ID within 30 working days, both counted from the respective notification
