Applications are open for one Research Studentship(s), within the framework of project Fostering the city of proximity through MaaS integration (FORTHCOMING) / Associação do Instituto Superior Técnico para a Investigação e o Desenvolvimento (IST-ID), (DUT/0008/2022), financed by national funds through FCT/MCTES (PIDDAC

Workplan: Develop and carry out research tasks on the project topics, related with:

• Literature review about the 15 minute concept and its applicability;
• Interaction with the project stakeholders;
• Help to coordinate data collection tasks needed for the project, namely design prepare and deploy surveys;
• Develop qualitative and quantitative research on citizen engagement and satisfaction with the 15 minute city concept;
• Carry out and develop collaborative research with other project colleagues and research groups;
• Prepare academic papers and presentations;
• Contribute to the organization of project events and activities (e.g. seminars, workshops);
• Contribute to small-scale project management activities under supervision of project’s PI.

Benefits

Monthly maintenance allowance: According to the values for Research Fellowships awarded by FCT in Portugal (https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM_atualizacao-2024.pdf ), the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance €990,98,being the payment method an option of the Fellow by Wire Transfer/Check.

Selection process

Selection methods: The selection methods will be the following: Curriculum evaluation where the candidate should demonstrate experience in research. Evidence of published research in the scientific areas of the call and/or the project will be considered also. Individual interview up to a maximum of five candidates. The candidates selected for the interview will be the ones with the highest score in the curricular evaluation, with the respective weight of 70% curricular evaluation and 30% interview.

Announcement/ notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.

Deadlines and procedures of complaint and appeal . A complaint may be lodged from the final decision within 15 working days, or an appeal to the Executive Board of IST-ID within 30 working days, both counted from the respective notification
