Offer Description

Applications are open for 1 Research Studentship, within the scope of the R&D Unit CiTUA - Centre for Innovation in Territory, Urbanism and Architecture, ref. UIDP/05703/2020, with the financial support of FCT/MCTES(PIDDAC) through national funds

Workplan:

  • Participate in drawing up CiTUA's communication strategy
  • Producing and editing multimedia content
  • Streamlining CiTUA's communication channels: website and social networks
  • Collaborate in publicising CiTUA's scientific areas
  • Supporting events: programming, scheduling, organisation and dissemination
  • Interface with the Instituto Superior Técnico's communications office

    • Duration: The research fellowship(s) will have the duration of 3 months. It’s expected to begin in May 2024, and may be eventually renewed.

    It is mandatory to formalize applications with the submission of the following documents:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Academic degree certificate, where applicable; iv) proof of enrollment at an academic degree course (Master or Integrated Master) or at a course that does not award an academic degree

  • For holders of Bachelor or Master degrees who are enrolled at a course that does not award an academic degree: declaration on honour that the applicant does not exceed with this contract an accumulated period of two years in this type of studentship, continuously or with interruptions.

    Admission Requirements: This competition is open to graduates with a degree in Communication Sciences, Advertising and Marketing, Communication Design, Audiovisual and Multimedia, Business Communication, or related areas who are enrolled in a Master's programme at a higher education institution or in a non-degree course at Higher Education Institutions; proficiency in Portuguese (spoken and written, advanced - eliminatory factor) and English (spoken and written - eliminatory factor).

    Benefits

    Monthly maintenance allowance: According to the values for Research Fellowships awarded by FCT in Portugal (https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM_atualizacao-2024.pdf ), the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is 990,98 €, being the payment method by Wire Transfer.


    Eligibility criteria

    Admission Requirements: This competition is open to graduates with a degree in Communication Sciences, Advertising and Marketing, Communication Design, Audiovisual and Multimedia, Business Communication, or related areas who are enrolled in a Master's programme at a higher education institution or in a non-degree course at Higher Education Institutions; proficiency in Portuguese (spoken and written, advanced - eliminatory factor) and English (spoken and written - eliminatory factor).


    Selection process

    Selection methods: The selection methods will be the following:

  • Curriculum evaluation (80%)
  • Experience in research (20%)
  • Individual interview (optional in case of a tie)

    • Composition of the selection Jury: Prof. Teresa Heitor, Prof. Jorge Gonçalves, Dr. Rute Martins.

    Announcement/ notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.

    Deadlines and procedures of complaint and appeal . A complaint may be lodged from the final decision within 15 working days, or an appeal to the Executive Board of IST-ID within 30 working days, both counted from the respective notification
