Applications are open for one Research Studentship, within the framework of project CO2PILOT/CERENA, PTDC/QUI-QIN/0252/2021, financed by national funds through FCT/MCTES (PIDDAC

Workplan:

  • Kinetic study to assess the CO2 absorption and desorption potential of materials;
  • Preparation of scientific articles

Duration: The research fellowship will have a duration of 9 months. It’s expected to begin in April, 2024, and may be eventually renewed up to the maximum of 12 months, including the duration of the initial contract.

It is mandatory to formalize applications with the submission of the following documents: i) B1 Form – Fellowship application (https://ist-id.pt/concursos/bolsas  ); ii) Curriculum Vitae; iii)academic degree certificate; iv) proof of enrollment at a course that does not award an academic degree; v) motivation letter; vi) declaration on honour that the applicant does not exceed with this contract an accumulated period of two years in this type of studentship, continuously or with interruptions.

  • Experience in measuring chemical and/or physical properties of materials;
  • Experience in data processing and presentation, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.

    Benefits

    Monthly maintenance allowance: According to the values for Research Fellowships awarded by FCT in Portugal (https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM_atualizacao-2024.pdf ), the amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is €1259.64, being the payment method an option of the Fellow by Wire Transfer/Check.


    Eligibility criteria

    Admission Requirements:

  • Selection process

    Selection methods: The selection methods to be used will be as follows: letter of motivation where it should be pointed how the candidate can contribute to the workplan, curriculum evaluation, scientific production, with respective weighting of 20%, 60%, 20%. An individual interview will be conducted in case of a tie or if it is deemed pertinent; the interview, if carried out, will be a decisive factor.

    Announcement/ notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.

    Deadlines and procedures of complaint and appeal . A complaint may be lodged from the final decision within 15 working days, or an appeal to the Executive Board of IST-ID within 30 working days, both counted from the respective notification
